Aibo — Cookie Policy (Web Portals)
Version: 1.3 Effective date: 16 July 2026
This Cookie Policy applies to the public Aibo marketing website and Aibo-related web portals, including Provider-operated admin/commercial portals used to manage tenant users, subscriptions, licensing, billing, and support workflows. The consent-gated Google Analytics 4 implementation described below applies only to the public marketing website.

1) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device/browser. Web apps may also use similar technologies (local storage and session storage) for authentication, preferences, consent, and limited same-session attribution.
2) Cookies we use (high level)
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
Used to:
- keep you signed in (session/authentication),
- protect against fraud and abuse,
- enable core functions of the Aibo admin/commercial portal (security and navigation).
These cookies are necessary for the portal to work.
2.2 Security cookies
Used to help detect suspicious activity and protect the Service (for example, CSRF protection).
2.3 Preference cookies
Used to remember settings such as language or interface preferences (if enabled).
2.4 Analytics / performance (Amazon CloudWatch RUM)
If enabled in the web portal, we use Amazon CloudWatch Real User Monitoring (CloudWatch RUM) to understand and improve:
- client-side performance (web vitals, load times, latency),
- client-side errors (JavaScript errors, failed requests),
- high-level usage patterns (page views, navigation paths) for reliability and debugging.
Cookies / similar technologies: Depending on configuration, CloudWatch RUM can set:
- a user cookie and a session cookie containing randomly generated identifiers (not your name), to measure unique users/sessions and user journeys across page loads, or
- no cookies, in which case it still records certain aggregated session information (for example, browser/device type and performance metrics).
We do not use cookies for targeted advertising.
2.5 Optional analytics on the public website (Google Analytics 4)
The public Aibo marketing website loads Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only after you choose Allow measurement. Google LLC acts as a service provider/processor for this purpose.
With consent, GA4 receives pseudonymous browser/client/session identifiers; page origin, path, and title with the query string removed; referring-site origin; allowlisted source/medium values; low-cardinality metadata for approved events (such as calls to action, pricing-cycle selection, starting an onboarding handoff, contact outcomes, and allowlisted team-size-band and operation-type selections); approximate country or region that Google derives from the visitor's IP address while the request is in transit; and browser/device/technical information. Google Analytics does not log or store that IP address, and granular location and device-data collection is disabled in GA4.
This implementation does not send GA4 free-text form fields, names, company names, email addresses, telephone numbers, messages, payment references, account/user/tenant/internal identifiers, raw error details, URL query strings, advertising-platform click identifiers, or utm_campaign, utm_content, or utm_term values. It may send only the allowlisted low-cardinality team-size-band and operation-type selections described above. Google Signals, Google Ads linking/advertising personalization, and Enhanced Measurement are disabled. GA4 event-level and user-level data used in Explorations and funnel reports is configured for 2 months; this control does not affect standard aggregated reports, and Google deletes covered user/event data monthly after the retention period.
Google may process this limited analytics data in the United States and other locations where Google operates, subject to the applicable Google contractual terms and transfer safeguards.

The optional analytics cookies and attribution storage are not created before consent. The consent/denial records are necessary to remember and enforce your choice; they do not measure marketing behavior.
3) How to control cookies
On the public website, you may reject analytics, accept analytics, or change your choice at any time through Cookie preferences. Rejecting analytics does not prevent access to the website or Service. When you withdraw consent, the website stops GA4 collection and clears accessible GA4 cookies on the next page load or interaction.
You can also manage or delete cookies and site storage through your browser settings. If you disable strictly necessary cookies or storage, the Aibo portal and related web portals may not function properly or may be unable to remember your privacy choice.
4) Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time by publishing a new version.
